What everyday objects look like under a microscope
People have been wondering what the universe and distant galaxies looked like for centuries; – but the closest they got to it, was picture drawings made by scientists. Fast forward 200 years later, now, we’ve got a clear idea of what the Andromeda galaxy looks like, how fast it travels, and thanks to the Event Horizon telescope, we know what a black hole looks like. But when it comes to everyday objects in our world, we barely scratched the surface. So today, I bring you something exciting. We are taking out our microscope, and we’ll observe a bunch of everyday objects to see what they look like up-close. We’ll look at their shapes, how colorful they are, and the yucky part: if they have any germs or visible bacteria that we can capture. We’re looking at face masks, honey, raw salmon, baker’s yeast, tears, and many more.
